Cyclops has announced a new live speed camera system application that is supposed to make use of intelligent technology and mobile connectivity together to offer real time updates, a large camera database, and tracking software. The new app, aptly titled the Cyclops Speedwatch, lets drivers know where mobile camera sites are installed and are operative.
The App benefits include real time data so that there are no false alerts, live protection against all live mobile units, instant alerts on your smartphone, and low costs.
This is the first step on the mobile app market that helps motorists maintain the letter of the law by using mobile communications and real-time updates to give individual drivers alerts as they progress.
There are multiple ways that it works including the user community feedback to let other Cyclops and Speedwatch users to report live mobile sites and then the Cyclops system takes the information and checks all reports against other user reports and data validity.
Live mobile sites also work with the Cyclops research team to add all live mobile CCTV cameras to the tracking system as soon as they pop up so that users can trust all reports that come in.
In addition, in order to let users know how valid the report they receive is, the Speedwatch app issues a report on the confidence level of each site so that the driver can assess the potential risk accordingly.
By making use of each of these alert systems and the original Cyclops Intelligent Verification system, the app is able to offer a reliable service to drivers that do not want to mess with law enforcement or false alerts that cause them to change their routes for no apparent reason.
