A new cycle park has been installed in Hackney which is free to use and very secure. The new parking system has been installed by Bike Dock Solutions and it has been open to support those who are cycling to the Olympic Games. The party is able to accommodate 60 bicycles and it is open all day. It is closest to Shoreditch High Street station.
The racks are semi-vertical which allows the efficient storage of bikes and it is possible to lock them using either a chain already lock. There are also abilities for parking multiple bicycles easily.
The director of the company is James Nash and he has commented, “2012 is going to be one of the greatest years for British cycling and we are sure more people are going to be taking to the road on their bikes than ever before. This parking system is going to mean that people can avoid public transport and cycle with the confidence that their bikes are going to be secure when they are away from them.”
The London Cycling Campaign has commended the company for the installation of this system stating that they think it will encourage people to realise how easy biking can be in the city.
