With the excitement surrounding the anticipated unveiling of electric cars, the Auto Show in Paris is proving that there is still a lot of interest in hybrids.  From the most expensive to the least costly, manufacturers were anxious to unveil their latest models.

The Fisker Karma is one of the most eagerly awaited of the hybrid debuts.  The Karma is a plug- in hybrid that claims a maximum speed of 200 kilometres per hour.  Not to be outdone, Lexus is bringing its CT200H hybrid hatchback.

Infiniti will kick start its M35h hybrid, which is the first hybrid built by Nissan, who owns Infiniti.  Honda will take aim at the low end of the category, planning to show the hybrid variation of its Jazz subcompact.  This hybrid is believed to be a small, cheap player.

Peugeot showed off early when it debuted its claim to the world’s very first hybrid diesel, the 3008, around a month ago.
