Buy a Used Car Online

Nowadays, it is possible to buy anything online – even used cars.  BCA, a vehicle remarketing company, offers ways to buy used cars online.  You can enter in online vehicle auctions through their live online system.

Unfortunately, not everyone can make use of this process.  BCA Live Online is only available to professional motor trade buyers, meaning people who are MyBCA Gold, Platinum or Black cardholders.  If you are fortunate enough to be a member, however, you can see real-time coverage of BCA auctions and participate in special, internet-only auctions.

There are other options for online car buying.  eBay offers both new and used cars in online auctions.  You can narrow your eBay search according to where you live and what kind of car you are interested in.  You can even specify that you are only interested in alternative fuel or certified pre-owned cars.

The downside to eBay is that it is not as secure as BCA.  BCA has safeguards and other things in place to ensure buyers get what they pay for.  That is part of what makes it such an exclusive service.  eBay does not have these assurances in place.  Many of the vehicles you will find on eBay are cars posted up by private individuals.  Car sales on eBay are not closely monitored by anyone.

eBay does offer some buyer protection however.  You can get vehicle purchase protection at no cost through the auction site.  The catch is that this service only applies to certain cars. Alternatively to buying used cars via eBay its worth looking through the many used car dealerships who have website, these companies will have fully serviced the car and will know its history inside out before it reaches the forecourt.
