The greatest cycle race in the world is well under way, and while we may hear team names on the news such as Belkin, Movistar and Team Sky, but one name you probably haven’t heard mentioned is Skoda. While they may not be in the race to be crowned King of the Mountains, or be in the hunt for the yellow jersey, it is thanks to Skoda that we see all the excitement and drama of Le Tour as is unfolds.
Many will not realise that Skoda are the leading sponsor for the Tour de France and have been for 10 years. As this is the centenary race, marking 100 since it first took place, it is even more special for the car manufacturer from Skoda, who are providing a fleet of vehicles totalling 250, as well as a wide range of promotions for those who come along to watch anyone of the 21 stages.
